Full-Time Contract Camp Instructor 

Multiple Locations: Sammamish, Issaquah, Bothell, Online

PopSmart Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate camp instructor to join their team for their Sammamish, Bothell or Issaquah centers. The camp curriculum includes Writing, Science, Entrepreneurship, 3D Design & Printing, and Public speaking. The ideal candidate will have a strong rapport with children and the ability to teach both elementary and middle school students.  This role involves fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning through hands-on experiments and engaging lesson plans. The Camp Instructor will run camps from 9 am to 4 pm Monday-Friday, for the months of July and August with the possibility to transition into a part-time contract instructor position in the fall. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and the needs of students.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals.

• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive educational experience.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to build strong rapport with children.

• Experience teaching elementary and middle school students.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching.

• Energetic, positive and can effectively manage a group of students.

• Available to run camps in July and August. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field.

• Teaching certification or relevant credentials.

• Previous experience in a classroom setting or running camps.

ELA/Writing Teacher (Part-time)

This role requires a deep understanding of vocabulary, English writing, and descriptive language to effectively communicate and educate students.

Science Teacher (Part-time)

PopSmart Academy is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team on a part-time contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to connect with children and a passion for teaching science to elementary and middle school students. This role involves fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning through hands-on experiments and engaging lesson plans.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver age-appropriate science lesson plans that align with educational standards.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages exploration, inquiry, and collaboration.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including experiments, projects, and multimedia resources, to accommodate different learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to guide their academic growth.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture, inspiring students to excel in science.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
