Writing Enrichment (Grades 3–5):
Our writing program is designed to strengthen students’ communication and storytelling abilities. Each class includes a “word of the day,” a focused grammar lesson, and time to write and develop a story. Students will learn how to organize their thoughts, use descriptive language, and write with clarity and confidence. Each session—fall, spring, and late spring—explores different writing styles such as narrative, persuasive, expository, and creative writing. This ensures that returning students experience fresh content and continued growth, without repeating previous material.
Public Speaking Enrichment (Grades 3–5):
Our public speaking program is designed to help students become confident, articulate, and expressive communicators. Each class includes a warm-up activity to build comfort speaking in front of others, a focused lesson on key techniques such as body language, voice modulation, and eye contact, and guided practice through short speeches, debate, or impromptu exercises. Students will learn how to organize their ideas, engage their audience, and speak with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Each session—fall, spring, and late spring—focuses on different themes such as informative speaking, persuasive speeches, storytelling, and debate, ensuring that returning students encounter new material and continue to grow without repetition.
Science Enrichment (Grades 2–5):
This interactive science program brings key concepts to life through experiments, project-based learning, and guided inquiry. Students will explore topics across physical, earth, and life sciences in a fun, engaging format designed to promote critical thinking and curiosity. During each class, students are introduced to a core scientific concept using visuals, demonstrations, and hands-on experiments. Students will wrap up a class with a guided discussion to reflect on observations, reinforce key takeaways, and encourage students to ask questions and share their ideas. Each session—fall, spring, and late spring–introduces new topics and activities, ensuring that students who return each term engage with fresh material and continue to build their skills.
While not a complete list, the following are some of the key topics we plan to cover: What is Life?, Cell Theory–The Building Blocks of Life, Energy and Food Chain–The Power Behind Life, Matter, Atoms and Molecules–The Tiny Building Blocks, Elements and Compounds, Physical Changes and Chemical Reactions, Force, Energy, Motion and Measurement, Sound, Vibration and Waves, Light and Shadows.
*Please note that our instructors prioritize student safety at all times, and none of the materials or chemicals used in our activities are harmful to touch.
